With her four Wimbledon singles titles and 27 Grand Slam victories, she is one of the greatest women’s tennis players of all time.
But Serena Williams confessed this week that she has never liked sport.

And she’s not even very enamoured with tennis. In an extraordinary outburst, the 30-year-old American star said she’d much rather be shopping.
‘I just want to be able to do the other things that I’m doing and expand on that. I think that helps keep my motivation up,’ she explained.
Williams took the last four months of last year off to concentrate on some of her other, presumably more captivating, ventures, like creating her own fashion line, acting, studying and, well, just sitting around.
She was back in Brisbane, Australia, this week with an impressive two sets comeback win. But she admitted afterwards she is already planning on cutting down on the number of games she plays this year.
‘I mean I don’t love tennis today, but I’m here, and I can’t live without it, so I’m still here and I don’t want to go anywhere any time soon,’ she told reporters at the post-match press conference.
