‘Agni Salaru’ loosely translated as ’fiery images’ is a collaborative exhibition organized by Raffles Institute of Higher Education to showcase the talents of the students from the Advanced Diploma in Interactive Media Design Department.
This exhibition showcases work ranging through animations, video, and technology driven, user based experiences. These audio visual experiments move beyond reality and takes place in a world where anything is possible. The exhibition unveiled on the 23rd of February 2012 sets the stage for the students within the Department of Interactive Media Design to demonstrate their skills through the guidance from their Program Course Coordinator Mr. Nathan Ober.
As part of Raffles Institute of Higher Education’s philosophy, it is essential to showcase work from emerging talent within our new campus in Colombo – allowing students to experience the reality of exhibiting their work to the public. ‘Agni Salaru’ invites the audience to immerse their senses within the artwork displayed. The viewer is a successive and integral component of the exhibit with each person contributing to and adding to the overall sensory experiences. Exhibition is opened for public viewing from 24th February to 11th April 2012 9am to 6 pm.
