The Golden Jubilee celebration of ‘The London Grill’, Colombo’s premier fine-dining institution since 1975, is now on at the restaurant till Friday, 23rd. The renowned Chef Phillip Davenport from Australia is here in Colombo to join the celebration with his newly developed fusion cuisine.
Chef Davenport, known globally for his award-winning cuisine and appearances on Netflix, SBS Australia, and Nat Geo, brings to life a series of exclusive six-course degustation dinners. A Six-Course Degustation Menu with Malts will come alive from 22 – 23 May 2025 at 7.00pm.
Chef Phillip Davenport, whose career spans prestigious kitchens from Sydney’s Hugo’s to Bali’s KU DE TA, will curate an immersive dining experience inspired by his global travels, fusing modern techniques with timeless flavours. Each menu is a masterful blend of bold creativity, refined technique, and signature flair.
A special press briefing was held at the hotel to announce the celebration and to introduce Chef Phillip Davenport. Kamal Munasinghe, General Manager, Cinnamon Grand Colombo and Area Vice President Cinnamon Colombo Hotels and Chef Kapila Jayasinghe – Cluster Executive Chef, Cinnamon Grand & Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo were there to grace the occasion.
