ESOL College International has opened enrolment for its July 2025 intake of the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) Preparatory Course, a practical, hands-on programme designed for teachers who want to strengthen their skills and build on their professional qualifications. The three-month course runs every Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is delivered in a hybrid format, making it easier for the interested professionals to take part from anywhere. Participants will receive stepby-step guidance on all three TKT modules: background to language teaching, lesson planning and use of resources, and classroom management.
Classes are led by Ms. Isuri Kathriarachchi, Senior Manager for Teacher Development and Training at ESOL College International. With nearly a decade of teaching and training experience, and a Master’s in Applied Linguistics from Macquarie University, she brings both academic knowledge and real-world teaching experience into the classroom. “We’ve designed this course to be as practical and supportive as possible. Each session is interactive, and we work closely with every teacher to make sure they’re confident in passing the exam with high marks.” she added. Participants will also receive a Certificate of Course Completion from ESOL College International, along with in-house exam registration and access to customized learning materials. The programme includes real teaching practice, and top performers from this intake may be considered for internship opportunities, and potentially even employment at ESOL College.
The TKT is internationally recognized and can open up new teaching opportunities both in Sri Lanka and overseas. This programme is ideal for teachers who are starting out, as well as experienced educators looking to update their knowledge. Those interested are encouraged to reserve their spot early by calling 0117 444 999.
