Ranil leaves hospital, set to return to party activities
Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe who left the National Hospital, is to take further rest at home on medical advice, sources said.
Mr Wickremesinghe left the hospital after receiving treatment for six days, after being remanded by the Fort Magistrate court last Friday.
On the first day he was at the Prisons hospital.
Mr wickremesinghe was seen speaking to the medical and nursing before leaving the hospital.
Mr Wickremesinghe was seen leaving the hospital with the book ‘Boris Johnson –Unleashed’ written by Boris Johnson, who was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2019 to 2022. It was published by HarperCollins in the UK on 10 October 2024 and in the US on 15 October 2024.
The former President has told his close associates that after a brief rest, on medical advice he will be getting back to work with his party members.
