Negombo is making a vibrant comeback. As part of an ambitious tourism revival project, the city’s hospitality industry, hoteliers, restaurateurs, community leaders and tourism authorities, have come together to rejuvenate Negombo’s standing as one of Sri Lanka’s most dynamic and welcoming coastal hotspots.

Culinary winners 2025 Adding to its growing list of accolades, the culinary team of Goldi Sands Hotel recently made a strong mark at the prestigious 22nd Culinary Art Food Expo 2025, securing multiple awards across categories. The hotel’s talented chefs clinched a Gold Medal in the highly competitive CBL Apprentice Desserts – Live category, a Silver Medal for Hot Cooking (Live), and two Bronze Medals for Three-Course Set Dinner Menu and Hot Cooking – Seafood.
