LOLC is new king of Colombo’s stock market

LOLC PLC,Sri Lanka’s most diversified conglomerate, at Wednesday‘s trading dethroned JKH in market capitalisation at the Colombo Stock Exchange.

Also it’s Deputy Chairman Ishara Nanayakkara, owning close to 85 per cent of LOLC, became the first and only person to hold US$ 1 billion worth of listed stocks in the country.

At a current price of Rs.474, LOLC market cap at Rs. 225.24 trillion just exceeds JKH which is currently at Rs. 224.15 trillion. (DEC)
