One of the two victims who suffered gunshot wounds in the shooting that occurred near the Gampaha public market this morning has succumbed to his injuries, police confirmed.
The deceased is a 50-year-old resident of Kandana.
Two persons who were in a car suffered injuries when they were shot at by two unidentified assailants who arrived on a motorbike. The injured were admitted to the Ragama Hospital.
Police are yet to identify the firearm used in the shooting or the motive. Kandana Police are investigating.
