
The government's 'Rebuilding Sri Lanka' fund, which is providing relief to people affected by Cyclone Ditva, receives daily donations and Sriyani Dress Point has made a financial donation of Rs. 20 million as a social responsibility at this critical moment.
The relevant cheque was handed over to the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, at the Presidential Secretariat recently by the Chairman of Sriyani Dress Point, Mr. M. Selvaraj.

The United States has told Sri Lanka that the disposition of the Iranian naval vessel IRIS Bushehr and its crew is a matter for Colombo to resolve under its own laws and international obligations, while signalling it is in active talks with Sri Lanka to contain Iran’s threat to US interests.
