There was a relatively weak demand for large leaf teas following tensions in West Asia, the Forbes and Walker’s Tea market report stated this week.
Auctions offerings continued around 6 million kg this week and there was an increase recorded in the amount of unsold volumes of Ceylon Tea.
Overall quality of offerings continued to be average.
Prices for liquoring teas continued to be bearish in the backdrop of plainer quality. (SD)
