AIA Insurance, having identified the need for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Infrared thermometers, has donated PPE with visors and Infrared thermometers worth Rs. 1 million, to the Base Hospital Homagama.
This hospital was recently appointed as a treatment centre for COVID-19 suspected patients. This donation will help in providing safe care for the patients as well as the hospital medical staff who work on the frontline every day, AIA said in a media release.
AIA CEO Nikhil Advani said, “We are deeply grateful for their service, dedication and sacrifice and hope this small tribute will help the Base Hospital Homagama, in some way, in all that they are doing to serve our community.”
