A female suspect from Moratuwa has been arrested with a stock of forged currency notes. The suspect was taken into custody while in Moratuwa town by the Moratuwa Police yesterday following a tipoff, with 10 Rs. 5000 forged currency notes in her possession.
The 52-year-old woman is a resident of Rawathawattha, Moratuwa.
Following further interrogation, police raided her home and found a printer used to print the forged currency notes, along with more forged currency notes comprising 25 Rs. 5000, 10 Rs. 1000, 1 Rs. 100 and 2 Rs. 20 notes, Moratuwa Police are conducting further investigations.
