Following an order from the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) to stop construction of part of the LAUGFS LPG import and export terminal in Hambantota, the Board of Investment (BOI) has called a meeting to discuss this issue, sources said on Tuesday.
“The construction of the pipeline that connects the terminal to the main pier was requested to be halted by the SLPA due to the agreement signed between them and the Chinese partner over the development of the Hambantota port,” a source said adding that LAUGFS officials were to meet the BOI later today (Tuesday). No details of the meeting were immediately available. (DEC)
