The Ceylon Chamber (CCC)’s annual discourse on the year’s outlook will be held at the chamber auditorium in Colombo next Monday February 10. Organised by the chamber Academy, the event will focus on the macroeconomic outlook, trade prospects, and review of key sectors of the economy.
Central Bank Governor Prof. W.D. Lakshman will deliver the keynote address. He will then join a panel discussion comprising Dumith Fernando, Chairman of Asia Securities; Ms. Subhashini Abeysinghe, Research Director at Verite Research, and Maninda Wickramasinghe, Chief Executive and Country Head of Fitch Ratings Lanka. Moderated by Shiran Fernando, Chief Economist at the Ceylon Chamber, the panel will cover capital and financial markets, along with a focus on global and local trade developments, investment and reform outlook, and sectors like consumer durables, the chamber said in a media release.
The forum will also see the launch of the Outlook 2020 Report published by the Economic Intelligence Unit of the Chamber. The Chief Economist will provide a brief presentation of the report, which will be available for purchase at a discounted price, at the event. (DEC)
