The Central Bank’s monthly review of the Sri Lankan economy will be released at a media briefing on Tuesday May 9, chaired by Governor Indrajit Coomaraswamy and including other senior officials.
The Governor and his officials are expected to apprise journalists on economic developments for the month of April/May, contents of the bank’s annual report 2016 which was released this week and probably deal with any questions pertaining to GSP + and its impact, when and if the EU approves it.
The monthly review, the third for this year, prepared by the Monetary Board sets the tone for economic and business developments and also trading in the money markets. - ENDS -
