Fairfirst Insurance has donated Rs. 10 million, contributions coming from the company and its employees, to the state’s ‘Fight for COVID-19 Fund’.
The company has also volunteered the provision of coveralls and face masks for the safety of the healthcare staff and armed forces.
This came when Fairfirst Insurance’s Managing Director and CEO, Dr. Sanjeev Jha and company representatives recently met with Defence Secretary Major General (Rtd.) Kamal Gunaratne.
At this meeting, Dr. Jha conveyed gratitude for the immense commitment and dedication of the frontline forces towards fighting this pandemic, according to a media release issued by the company.
Also on this occasion Dr. Jha said: “It is times like these when each one of us has a responsibility. Business is noble when we use our forces for such needs. At Fairfirst, we have always believed in protecting and supporting the well-being of the community.”
