A high powered delegation from China participated at the launch of the China Products Exhibition held at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre on Wednesday. This is the third successive Chinese exhibition in Sri Lanka and will be held from November 22 to 24.
Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Lin Xiong (leading the Chinese delegation), said at the launch that this was the biggest exhibition organized in Sri Lanka under the “One belt and one road” initiative theme to promote trade between China and Sri Lanka.
The event showcased quality Chinese products from 80 Chinese companies from eight provinces in China providing an excellent opportunity for Sri Lanka businesses to interact with world -class suppliers to increase trade and to boost the domestic market in Sri Lanka.
The exhibition allows Sri Lankan entrepreneurs to review the latest technologies and innovations and to have one-to-one meetings to discuss business opportunities with Chinese counterparts.
Products on display include machinery, home security, marine electronics, hardware tools, household appliances, footwear, paper, bath-ware, glassware, clothing, lighting, furniture, medical, household items, electronics, etc. (Jayampathy)
