John Keells Holdings (JKH) has completed the sale of 78 per cent of its stake in Union Assurance General Ltd to Fairfax Asia Ltd, according to a January 2 company announcement.
The conglomerate also said that Union Assurance, a JKH subsidiary, has completed the segregation of its long term and general business by the transfer of the general insurance business to Union Assurance General Ltd on January 1 under the requirements of the Insurance Industry Act.
