The 3-year term of office of Sri Lanka's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Tilak Karunaratne ends today, January 25. SEC officials said. No replacement has been announced so far or whether Mr. Karunaratne would be re-appointed, officials said.
The other members of the Commission are D.N.R. Siriwardena, Ranel T. Wijesinha, S. R. Attygalle, Dilshani Gayathri Wijayawardana, Rajeev Amarasuriya, Suresh Shah, C J P Siriwardana and Jagath Perera. Meanwhile the Securities Exchange Bill is to be taken up for discussion in Parliament tomorrow. (DEC)
