Sri Lanka is seeking to raise US$2 billion in sovereign bonds in the international capital markets this year to settle debt and has called for applications lead managers/book runners to manage these issues. The closing date of applications for this purpose closes tomorrow (Tuesday January 23), according to the Central Bank (CB).
The issuances in single or multiple tranches would be in USD with a fixed coupon and medium to long term maturities where non-resident investors will be eligible to invest at the primary issuances.
The CB said banks and investment houses that have acted as lead managers/book runners for emerging market sovereign bond issuances with a minimum of 10 issuances in 2017 are eligible to submit proposals. - ENDS -
