The Central Bank (CB) has raised Rs. 5.1 billion from the Treasury bond action conducted on Tuesday September 26 where the total amount offered was Rs.8 billion. Bids amounting to Rs. 17.3 billion had been received, CB announced in a media release.
The CB debt office sold Rs.1.8 billion of 91 day maturity bonds at a weighted average of 8.56 percent after offering Rs.3 billion worth of bonds. It has received bids amounting Rs.7 billion.
The CB accepted Rs.3.3 billion of 364 day maturity bonds after offering Rs.5 billion at the auction. Bids amounting Rs.10.3 billion had been received, CB said. (Bandula)
