It’s a rare opportunity to see the works of a veteran artist and teacher, now in his 90 th year. Kuruwita Abayawardana’s paintings are on exhibition until March 31 at the Siyam Niwasa, opposite Town Hall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Ten talented Sri Lankan artists, ‘Rupa’ will showcase a diverse collection of their original works at the Sky Gallery of the Fareed Uduman Art Forum in Colombo 5.

Opening on 26th March, ‘Rúpa’ features the works of Prageeth Rathnayake, Prasadani Kumari, Prabhani Amandika, Sanjaya Gunarathna, Dhanushka Ariyarathna, Avanthi Jayasinghe, Thusitha Leelarathna, Vimukthi Samaraweera, Rajitha Perera, and Dinesh Perera.

The exhibition which continues until March 30 offers viewers a glimpse into the creative minds of these emerging and established artists whose paintings and sculptures will be on view.

The Stagelight&Magic theatre company returns with ‘Reasons to Be Pretty’, a play written by Neil LaBute and directed by Sashane Perera that goes on the boards at the Namel Manel Punchi Theatre in Borella from March 27-30.

Set in the US, the play centres around a group of four working class friends and lovers. Kanishka Herat, Dilini Fox, Isira Edussuriya and Tracy Jayasinghe star in this production produced by Dinesh Maheswaran and Denham Hakel.
