In an age where a reboot is growing in popularity, it would seem that nothing is safe as the British sitcom "Are You Being Served ?" is being brought back, the Mirror reported.

It is the latest programme to be receiving a revamp, with Chortle confirming the news that the show is coming back to the BBC later this year.

Adding to the news that it will be returning to our screens, it will also bring with it an “all-star cast” and will start filming on March 5th with a live studio audience.

The Are You Being Served? reboot forms part of the BBC’s “landmark comedy season” which will kick off later this year.

The new version of the British sitcom will reportedly "pick up where Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft's much-loved comedy left off" as it promises to "bring some of the nation's all-time favourite sitcom characters including Mrs Slocombe, Captain Peacock, Miss Brahms, and Mr Humphries back to life with an all-star cast".

The original show starred Mollie Sugden, John Inman, Nicholas Smith, and Wendy Richard and ran between 1972 and 1985 for 69 episodes.

There are more reboots rumoured to be lined up by the BBC, including Keeping Up Appearances, Porridge, The Good Life and Up Pompeii!

The comedy season is part of a celebration of 60 years since Tony Hancock's show,Hancock's Half Hour, premiered after making its switch from radio to TV, which is a huge moment in TV history for the sitcom.
