Kala Pola, the annual art fair presented by the George Keyt Foundation in association with the John Keells Group will be held this Sunday, January 22 along the sidewalks of Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha in Colombo 7 with over 300 artists from all over the country taking part.
Over the past 24 years, Kala Pola has grown from small beginnings into a major cultural and tourist attraction. Drawing inspiration from the open-air art fairs in Europe, such as Montmartre in Paris, Kala Pola has become a vibrant meeting place for art lovers and artists. High Commissioner of Australia to Sri Lanka Bryce Hutchesson will be Chief Guest at Kala Pola.
The art fair kicks off at 8 a.m. on Sunday, January 22 and will continue throughout the day. In addition to the art there will be music and cultural performances to keep the crowds entertained.
Presented by the George Keyt Foundation, Kala Pola is supported by the John Keells Group over the past 23 years under its corporate social responsibility programme.
