British celebrity chef Marco Pierre White spent a few hours with the villagers of Hiriwaduna learning some traditional Sri Lankan cooking essentials, including how to make kokis and aasmi. Marco is in the country due to the joint efforts of Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts and the British High Commission.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
