World Animal Day – only hope is you….!

Features

October 4 is World Animal Day.

A date to celebrate animals and to raise awareness for their welfare in the country. Lives of animals are deeply affected by each and every one of us.

The animal Welfare Bill with these two provisions is a must.

We as a nation must be an Animal Welfare LEADER by recognising all our animals as “HUMAN COMPANIONS” because they live along side us.

This term will change attitudes and they will be given mutual respect and people will be more inclusive towards animals.

The following five principle FREEDOMS that have eluded our animals also must be given to them.

  1. Freedom from hunger and thirst
  2. Freedom from discomfort and pain
  3. Freedom from wonton injury and pain
  4. Freedom from fear and distress
  5. Freedom to express normal behaviour

World Animal Day also unites all citizens to join together and start caring for our animals to stop the high levels of cruelty that is happening to our animals at present.

Displacing of elephants, killing of leopards, dogs, elephants, poisoning of cats, elephants… list of atrocities are endless.

So you might ask –what can I do to be a part of this day and beyond?

First thing you can do is simply to be KIND to animals and then abide by the Randi Foundation Neighbourhood Watch in Action

The ‘Blue Cross Code’:

LOOK- around to signs of cruelty, abuse, neglect

LISTEN - to signs of cruelty, abuse, neglect

REPORT - empower your voice and report signs of cruelty, abuse, neglect  to the relevant authorities - Police /Wild Life Department/Livestock Department

Blue Cross Code is a community-base initiative to make animal welfare, a social responsibility and to change attitudes in us to consider all animals as our human companions as they too have the  same emotions as we do, and give them the freedom that has eluded them for generations and to protect the animals and their habitat.

Make World Animal Day 2020 the year that we make animal welfare a social responsibility.

You have a right to remain silent…!

But if you do our animals pay the price like the black leopard, elephants…! They will become extinct in no time.

If we are going to save the animals and their habitats then we have to do it together. So take notice of everyone’s struggles. Stand up for our animal’s rights.

Change your attitudes, your thinking and prejudices and set the country on a different path to being a Social Responsibility Force personifying the immortal words of  Richard Gere - “As custodians of the planet it is our responsibility to deal with all species with kindness, love and  compassion. That these animals suffer through human cruelty is beyond understanding. Please help to stop this madness.”
