Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces and in Galle and Matara Districts, until Friday night, the Metrology Department said.
The Department said that few showers may occur in Northern Province and requested the public take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
