With two more persons tested positive for novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) today, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Sri Lanka has increased to 106 while 199 persons are under observation at National Institute of Infectious Diseases (IDH), Health Promotion Bureau of Health Ministry said.
According to the Epidemiology unit statistics, nine individuals have been recovered and discharged from IDH and 97 active patients are currently admitted to the special ward. At least three patients are reportedly in critical condition at IDH hospital. Health Officials have identified Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara as high risk areas for coronavirus.
