At least 107 COVID-19 infected persons have been recovered completely and discharged while 183 persons are currently receiving treatment or under observation, Health Promotion Bureau of Health Ministry said today. The total number of COVID-19 patients climbed to 373.
With five new persons tested positive today, a total 259 patients have been confirmed and hospitalized at Institute of Infectious Diseases (IDH) hospital and COVID-19 special wards setupped in General Hospitals across the island.
According to the district distribution of confirmed patients released by the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health and Indigenous Medical Services, Colombo marked the highest number of 130 patients while Kalutara and Puttalam recorded 58, 35 respectively. Seven patients succumbed to the COVID-19 virus.
