Eleven Grama sevaka (GS) officers from Kilinochchi who have undergone three month rehabilitation programme were released yesterday by the Bureau of the Commissioner General of Rehabilitation.
Earlier they were informed by the Government Agent that they will be re -recruited to the government service only if they have completed the rehabilitation programme. They alleged to had links with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE)
Commissioner General Rehabilitation Major General Janaka Ratnayake was the chief guest at this event and Deputy Commissioner General Rehabilitation, senior officers and parents of rehabilitees took part in the event.
