Eleven suspects have been arrested over the killing of a 16-year-old boy at Hawanpola, Welagedara.
Police said the victim had been set upon and assaulted with hands and feet as well as a helmet due to a personal dispute on April 16.
He was rushed to the Kurunegala Hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries yesterday (22). He was a resident of Sekaraliya Watta, Hewanpola.
Welagedara and Mawathagama Police Stations launched investigations into the crime and arrested 11 suspects who were allegedly involved during an operation conducted last night.
The suspects are aged between 15 and 18 years. They are residents of Erapola Kanda and Ambakotte. Investigations are ongoing.
