12-hour water cut in certain suburbs of Colombo
A 12-hour water cut has been imposed in certain areas due to the disruption of power supply to the Biyagama Water Treatment Plant today (Nov 20).
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board said the water cut has been in effect since 9 am.
The areas affected by the suspension of water supply are as follows ;
- Peliyagoda
- Wattala
- Mabole
- Ja-Ela
- Katunayake
- Seeduwa Urban Council areas
- Kelaniya
- Biyagama
- Mahara
- Dompe
- Certain areas surrounding the Gampaha Pradeshiya Sabha (Ganemulla, Rathupaswela, Ihala Yagoda, Pahala Yagoda, and Weliweriya)
