12-year-old cyclist killed in accident
A 12-year-old boy was killed after he fell off his bicycle and was run over by a tractor trailer in Arupola, Labbala yesterday.
The victim had tried to overtake a tractor attached to a tractor trailer when he fell off his bike and was then run over by the trailer. He was pronounced dead upon admission to the Kuliyapitiya Hospital.
The victim is a resident of Narangoda. The driver of the tractor has been arrested and Arupola Police are investigating.
