With three more persons tested positive for novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) today, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Sri Lanka has increased to 120 while 108 persons are under observation at National Institute of Infectious Diseases (IDH), Health Promotion Bureau of Health Ministry said.
According to the Epidemiology unit statistics, eleven individuals have been recovered and discharged from IDH and 117 active patients are currently admitted to the special ward. Country's first fatality due to COVID-19 was reported last week.
Health Officials have identified Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara as high risk areas for coronavirus.
