Seventeen Srilankan fishermen who were arrested and detained in Myanmar for seven months have been released, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Ajith Perera said. He said that the government had to intervened with the Myanmar authorities in order to get them released with their boats." Some boats currently being repaired, once it is finished they will returned to the country," Minister Perera said.
