The 17-year-old schoolboy, who was arrested over the murder of a girl in Kotadeniyawa, arrived at the Human Rights Commission today to attend a hearing of the petition filed by All Ceylon Teachers Union. The father of the youngster who was arrested along with the schoolboy also arrived at the HRC. The All Ceylon Teachers’ Union Secretary Joseph Stalin on September 30 filed a petition with the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission against arresting a schoolboy over the murder of a five-year-old girl in Kotadeniyawa without proper evidence.
The boy and the other individual also filed a complaint at the HRC on October 08 against the Police for arresting them wrongfully and mistreating them when they were in police custody.You can share this post!
