20 suspects involved in Easter Sunday attacks arrested over the last 24 hours : Police
A total of 20 suspects have been arrested within the past 24 hours in connection with last week's explosions, Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said.
Accordingly, the number of suspects arrested from the following areas is given below :
- Polonnaruwa - 02
- Mirihana - 02
- Slave Island - 03 (Arrested with Manna Knives and swords)
- Kollupitiya - 01 (Arrested with kits identical to that of army uniforms)
- Bandarawela - 01
- Kattankudy - 01
- Dehiwela - 02 (Arrested with suspicious motorcycle)
- Mawanella - 03
- Aluthgama - 01
- Poovarasankulam - 01
- Wellawatte - 03 (Arrested with C-4 high explosives)
