24-hour water cut in certain parts of the country

Certain areas in the country will experience a 24-hour water cut from 9 am tomorrow (Jun 26), the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said.

According to the NWSDB, the water cut will affect the Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, Kottawa, Pannipitiya, Rukmalgama, Pelanwatta, Mattegoda, Homagama, Meepe, and Padukka areas.

The water cut will be imposed due to the repair of water pipes which is taking place under the Colombo (East) Water Supply project, the NWSDB explained.
