24-hour water cut in certain suburbs of Colombo tomorrow
A 24-hour water cut will be in effect across certain suburbs of Colombo from 9 am tomorrow (Nov 23), the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said.
The NWSDB in a notice explained that water supply would be suspended until 9 am on Sunday due to an urban development project of the Land Reclamation and Development Authority.
The areas which would be affected are as follows :
- Kolonnawawa Urban Council areas
- Rajagiriya
- Moragasmulla
- Obeysekarapura
- Bandaranayakepura
- Nawala
- Koswatta
- The main road leading to the Open University in Nawala, and all by roads in the area

The meteorology department issuing a warm weather advisory for today that the temperature felt on human body is likely to increase up to ‘Caution level’ at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-western, Northern and North central provinces and in Monaragala district.
