Twenty-eight Sri Lankans who were subjected to harassment while being employed as domestic workers in Kuwait have arrived in the country today (Mar 11).
Two women had sustained injuries to their limbs and heads, our correspondent noted adding that the group had arrived on a UL 230 air carrier at the Bandaranaike International Aiport. The group also included women who had not received their due payments.
The cost to send these individuals to their residences from the airport would be borne by the authorities, an official attached to the Foreign Employment Bureau at the airport said.
