The Education Ministry says that 50 state schools will be closed today (Nov 14) in view of Saturday’s presidential election.
These schools will be used as either polling or counting centres.
Education Ministry Secretary Nihal Ranasinghe said that these schools could be closed on Monday as well if there is a delay in the counting process.
All state schools will remain closed tomorrow to prepare those facilities for the election.
