The price of a 50kg locally produced cement pack will be reduced by Rs.100 from Monday due to the reduction of VAT and PAL taxes.
State Minister of Trade Anura Priyadarshana Yapa told Times Online adding that the government informed the reduction in taxes to cement companies during a discussion held today (Dec 14).
He said that the reduction in price is expected to benefit the construction industry.
