The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Academy China Bay launched ‘AERO BASH 2024’, an educational, technical, and trade exhibition engaging visitors with its diverse range of activities and displays.
The event officially commenced on August 22, under the patronage of SLAF commander Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, and is set to continue until August 26 at the Academy’s premises.
The exhibition opens daily at 3:00 p.m., with a scheduled array of activities planned for the evening. Visitors can enjoy a variety of trade shows and musical concerts organized by the Air Force.
This year’s exhibition provides a comprehensive glimpse into the innovations and expertise driving Sri Lanka’s educational and technological sectors.
The SLAF demonstrates their skills with exhilarating parachute jumps, while other highlights include fire fighting displays, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) demonstrations, and engaging dog shows.
Each activity is designed to offer a unique insight into the operational capabilities and community services provided by the SLAF.
A particularly exciting feature of this year’s exhibition is the introduction of the ‘Tandem Jump’ adventure sport, making its debut in Trincomalee.
