Russia’s largest Charter airline - Azur Airlines resumed its flights to Sri Lanka with a flight of 333 passengers to the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) at Katunayake today.
The airlines are scheduled to fly from airports in four major cities of Russia such as Vnukovo, Tolmachevo, Krasnoyarsk and St. Petersburg.
The flights are scheduled to arrive four days a week during Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The first aircraft identified as ZF -1611 arrived today at 9.45 am with 333 Russian tourists.
The tourists were welcomed by Former Ambassador to Russia, Udayanga Weeratunga, the Chairman of the Tourism Development Bureau, Chalaka Gajabahu and vice Chairman of Airport Aviation Services Dr Ajith Mendis.
