The number of confirmed deaths due to the adverse weather brought on by Cyclone 'Ditwah,' has risen to 153, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said.
A further 191 persons are listed as missing, the DMC added.
The DMC's latest report, issued at 6.00pm today, notes that 774,724 people from 217,263 families in 25 districts have been affected by the disaster situation.
The DMC added that 100,898 people from 27,494 families are currently sheltered in 798 evacuation centers established around the country.
