An accomplice who managed notorious underworld criminal Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne alias Harak Kata’s Southern province drug network has been arrested, police said.
Police Special Task Force (STF) made the arrest in a raid in front of the Midigama Sanasa bank on Tuesday.
The suspect named Sika, a resident of Ahangama was arrested while transporting 5.5g of heroin. A sword suspected to be used to commit crimes was discovered in the suspect’s house.
The suspect has been handed over to the Midigama police for further investigation.
