Another accomplice of Underworld mobster, Harak Kata has been arrested, the Special Task Force said today (April 8).
Acting upon information received by the STF officers of the Southern Province Special Operation Unit, they had conducted a raid at the tsunami junction in Midigama.
Subsequently, two suspects, aged 33 and 21 and residents of Ahangama, were arrested while they were transporting 16g 200mg of heroin on a motorbike.
Upon investigation it was revealed that one of the suspects is a close accomplice of the Underworld mobster, Nadun Chintaka alias Harak Kata and has pending court cases in the Matara Court for a murder at Pathegama in 2017 and in the Galle Court for beating an individual in 2019.
The suspect has been handed over to the Midigama Police for further investigation.
