Army-used land in Mullaitivu released to regional state authorities
Army (SLA) released a 36.8 perch plot of land in Paravipanchan village in the Karachchi Divisional Secretariat, Mullaitivu to the regional state authority recently.
Accordingly, the land was handed over to B Jeyaharan, Karachchi Divisional Secretary, Army said.
General Officer Commanding of the 57 Division Maj. Gen. Priyantha Jayawardena, presented the documents while symbolically handing over the land following the directives of Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva, under supervision of Maj. Gen. Sisira Pilapitiya, Commander Security Forces – Mullaitivu.
A few state and military officials were present at the occasion held while adhering to health guidelines.
