A group of Board of Investment (BoI) employees held a protest during their lunch hour today at the BOI's Katunayaka Zone against the government's Economic Transformation Bill which is due to be presented to Parliament tomorrow (22). The protest was organised by the Sri Lanka All Union Alliance of the BOI.
The protesters say that the proposed bill seeks to break up the BOI and sell profitable BOI Zones to political stooges. They claim that the proposed bill does not do any good to investors or BOI employees.
