The jeep that was used by the gunmen involved in the Beliatta shooting incident, which claimed five lives, was located in Galle, police said.
The vehicle was parked close to the Vidyaloka Pirivena.
On Monday (22), a group of people who had arrived in a jeep shot five persons dead who had travelled in a Defender.
Four individuals were killed instantly in the shooting that occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. The fifth person died after being admitted to the Tangalle Hospital with serious gunshot wounds.
Saman Perera, the leader of “Ape Jana Bala Pakshaya” was among the deceased.
